The Appropriate Communication Techniques for Development (ACT) was established as a non-governmental organization working in the field of development in 1990. The idea of establishing the center emerged to meet the institutional and community needs of various NGOs and civil society organizations, by providing support to develop the organizational, technical, and creative capacities of civil society organizations. This is in order to activate their role in community participation and to promote a culture of citizenship, equality, and non-discrimination
