As part of efforts to strengthen national capacities in supporting women’s and peace issues, a team from ACT participated in an intensive training program on the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Agenda.
The training was organized by CARE Egypt in cooperation with the Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding (CCCPA), affiliated with the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from 15 to 19 June 2025 at the Center’s headquarters in Tahrir, Cairo.
The training brought together senior representatives from the organizing institutions and participating organizations. CARE Egypt was represented by the Project Manager, Governance and CSO Capacity Building Consultant, Gender Consultant, Project Coordinator, and Monitoring and Evaluation Officer.
ACT’s delegation included the Project Manager, Governance and CSO Capacity Building Consultant, Gender Consultant, and Project Coordinator, in addition to representatives from the nine partner associations involved in the Civil Society Organizations Capacity Building Project on Women’s Issues.
This training is part of ongoing efforts to empower women, strengthen their role in peacebuilding and security processes, and equip participants with the knowledge needed to promote these vital concepts within their communities.
